~~The Office Claims Service Representative position supports both staff and independent field appraisers. Position will work on simple to moderately complex Catastrophe and auto physical damage claims that do not require on-site inspection or in person contact. Performs with a high degree of competency and continues to develop a mastery of skills and insurance knowledge required. ~~Review field appraiser, scan matrix, or repair facility estimate using Global Claims current estimating software data base. Check for LKQ, aftermarket and remanufactured parts using proper resources within Global Claims or insurance carrier guidelines. Makes adjustments to the appraisal to add for moldings, glass, etc., as per Global Claims or insurance carrier guidelines. Negotiate with repair facility to obtain a fair settlement, where appropriate. Review the adjusted damage appraisal with vehicle owner, where required. Provide a copy of the estimate to the field appraiser, vehicle owner, insurance partner, and repair facility, where appropriate. Monitors and processes supplemental requests via phone, email and fax.Shall review appraisers schedules daily and adjust the appraisal assignments of the Physical Damage appraisers to maximize efficiency. Responsible for coordination of appraisal resources through constant contact with Physical Damage management, appraisal staff, customers, and third party vendors. Based on information at hand is responsible to revise schedules to expedite the work flow within the Physical Damage Unit. May be used during catastrophe duty as a field appraiser. Other duties as assigned.
