Responsibilities:• Perform complete electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic control design analysis.• Design complex machine control software.• Integrate peripheral equipment.• Assist maintenance team with troubleshooting equipment; train maintenance team on new equipment controls.• Coordinate project installations with maintenance and contractors.• Develop and edit electrical and mechanical schematics.• Utilize clear, concise, and grammatically correct verbal and written communication skills.• Draft, compile and prepare written procedure and status reports for management review.• Demonstrated ability to handle various tasks simultaneously, organize, prioritize, make decisions and work efficiently and effectively under deadlines. Special Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:• BSEE degree and/or 3 to 5 years equivalent experience• Minimum of 2 years of control design experience preferred• Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point• Working knowledge of AutoCAD• Advanced knowledge of PLC programming/software• Proficient knowledge of HMI software• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC controls preferred• Experience with Integration of controls across Ethernet/IP• Strong working knowledge of electrical and safety standards• Ability to receive and retain instructions in a productive manner; ability to prioritize, keep multiple projects and tasks on schedule• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.• Ability to think strategically and identify critical success factors when developing strategy and plans for assigned area of responsibility. Ability to translate diverse pieces of information into meaningful conclusions and results. Work Environment: Inside office environment. Average office noise levels. No personal protective equipment required, with exception to occasional visits to the shop. Physical Requirements: Average level of physical exertion is medium to high. Required to bend, kneel, stoop, crawl, twist, stoop, stack, push/pull and balance while stocking, storing, and maneuvering around the work area. Must be able to life minimum of 50 lbs. Required to stand and walk for long periods of time.
