Job Description Job Title: Electrical Engineer Summary Responsible for preparation of all engineering documentation necessary for production to build product. Provide assistance to production on any questions or corrections they may have. Work directly with customers and vendors to improve quality of product. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Preparation of ell engineering documentation (i.e. Cut sheets, BOM’s, BIP drawings, ECN’s, Work Orders) necessary for production to build product. Maintain accountability for specific customer’s accounts. Work closely with production on any questions regarding customer accounts. Coordinate with Prototype Department to ensue prototype and/or samples are complete. Travel may be required to customer location upon request. Advise and correspond with other departments and customers regarding any changes or concerns on graphic design. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technologies; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Electrical Background necessary to understand most aspects of instrumentation as well as working knowledge of various electrical devices (i.e. switches, timers). Experience a MUST with lawn & garden and familiarity with marine wiring standards. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of AutoCAD Design software; Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Word Processing software.
