Integrated Marine Services, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Structural/Sheet Metal Department Foreman with relevant experience working in the Shipyards. The qualified candidate will have the following qualifications:A journey level background in one or both structural and sheet metal fabrication and welding. Having Trade school or other formal, accredited training is a definite plusAbility to read and interpret blueprints and develop working sketches of structural and sheet metal subjects.Must have technical knowledge of all NAVSEA weld processes and procedures including steel, stainless and aluminum stick, tig and mig processesMust have technical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques including working knowledge of fabrication equipment including shears, brakes and rollsMust have the ability to lay out and fabricate sheet metal parts and components including formulating the mathematical computations necessary to fabricate square to round componentsMust have the ability to competently operate computers, computer programMust have the ability to effectively communicate and supervise up to 10 menMust have the ability to effectively navigate the spaces and frames of a shipMust have the ability to climb ladders and stand for prolonged periods of time The qualified candidate will have to undergo a Government mandated background check and satisfactorily pass drug testing.
Engaged in the repair of Navy, Coast Guard and Military Sealift Command vessels in San Diego, Long Beach, Oakland and other areas.
