Maritime Capabilities Analysis Group conducts a full spectrum of requirements development and operational and technical assessments of maritime capabilities specializing in capability, technology assessments and Research and Development. These analytically based assessments include modeling and simulation from engagement level trade-offs through joint and multinational global and theater-level campaign assessments. The Military Operations Analyst provides military operational expertise, participates in study teams conducting detailed analysis of Naval capabilities, and develops concepts of employment and concepts of operations. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Engineering, or Physics/Applied Mathematics. Master’s degree is a plus.• 4-10 years of relevant Navy operational experience.• Must have the ability to effectively contribute on teams developing rigorous analytic solutions to top level Navy issues.• The ability to exercise independent judgment and to work autonomously with minimal supervision is required.• Must be proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.• Mathematical tool development, Modeling and Simulation and experience in military operations analysis, including requirements definition, conduct of analyses of alternatives, and the JCIDS process is highly desired. Responsibilities: Translate military concepts into descriptions that can be developed in our mission and campaign-level modeling tools. Support projects and program managers and leadership in the timely execution of high-visibility studies. Assist and have the potential to take a leadership role in requirements development, CONOPS development and effectiveness analysis as well as supports the design, development, and utilization of custom-tailored modeling and simulation (M&S) tools for military and related operations analysis issues. Provide top-level decision support analyses including the employment of M&S tools, input and output processing, and statistical analysis as a member or leader of one or more focused project teams (3-8 people). Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Successful candidates will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship required.
