Essential Duties:• Prepare equipment, parts, and materials for the painting process, including masking, sanding, buffing and prepping.• Clean and maintain painting and spray gun equipment including nozzle and other machinery.• Understand the proper flow and viscosity of the paint or solution.• Check product for flaws, bubbles, or imperfections.• Regulate the temperature and air circulation in paint booth. Special Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Minimum 1 to 3 years’ experience with industrial painting preferredExperience with various paint spray equipment and 90 DA Sanders.Experience with heavy equipment a plusAble to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manualsAble to receive and retain instructions in a productive manner; ability to prioritize; keep multiple projects and tasks on scheduleAble to use own initiative and work as part of a teamAble to keep work area, including machine surfaces neat and clean at all times Work Environment: Inside manufacturing building; non-uniformly heated or air conditioned. Exposed to dust, oil, grime, fumes, industrial lubricants, grinding and welding debris. Noise level moderate, and may require hearing protection. Eye protection and other PPE required, i.e. safety shoes. Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity, strength, endurance, flexibility and the ability to see details close range. Average level of physical exertion is medium. Required to bend, kneel, stoop, crawl, climb ladders both caged and uncaged, as well as stairs and other equipment. Required to stand and walk for long periods of time.
