The PSC II – Peer Support Specialist provides direct member support to members and their families, amplifies the consumer voice in treatment planning, and helps to keep other staff aware of the consumer perspective. QUALIFICATIONS The PSC II – Peer Support Specialist is a mental health specialist who is or has been a primary consumer of mental health services. The PSC II – Peer Support Specialist is regarded as a full, professional member of the clinical team. Must have either demonstrated experience working with individuals with serious and persistent mental illness OR have completed a peer training program in which consumers learn how to use personal experience to engage and inspire others. High school graduation or a G.E.D. is required. The ability to read, write & speak English is crucial along with basic math skills. Applicant must be fingerprinted and receive clearance from the Department of Justice and Office of inspector General. Must have completed first aid and CPR training or obtain certification within four (4) weeks of hire.Telecare Corporation is fully committed to a strong equal opportunity program .
