Job Description:

As part of the Telecare community, the San Bernardino MAPS program located in the city of San Bernardino provides a wide range of services and supports that help people to live successfully in the community and reclaim their hopes, dreams and life roles. We are currently expanding our programs to work specifically with persons with a forensic history and those who are high users of psychiatric inpatient hospitalizations. We are looking for Registered Nurses. As a staff member with Telecare you will be an integral part of an individual’s road to recovery. In this exciting and fulfilling role, you will provide culturally competent and client centered coaching, counseling, mentoring, instruction, training, feedback and positive reinforcement in areas such as financial management, housing, health, employment and relationships. You will make every effort to empower individuals to improve their quality of everyday life. We are looking for candidates with knowledge and experience in the mental health field. Background in vocational, housing, or dual diagnoses services preferred and bilingual is a plus. All candidates must have valid driver’s license and proof of insurance, completed first aid and CPR training or obtain certification within four weeks of hire. Once an offer is made, candidates must be fingerprinted and receive clearance from the Department of Justice, Office of Inspector General and DMV. Qualifications: RN license and one year of community mental health or inpatient psychiatric experience Experience in providing intensive case management, intensive community supports using psychiatric rehabilitation concepts is highly desirable Sensitivity to multi-cultural populations and issues is required Necessary skills include the ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, a thorough understanding of client rights, an understanding of involuntary hospitalization criteria and knowledge of basic medical and psychiatric terminology Telecare Corporation is fully committed to a strong equal opportunity program .
