SDS Author Position Description CGI is seeking experienced and motivated professionals to provide end-to-end hazard communication and Material Safety Data Sheet authoring services to chemical manufacturers in support of global chemical regulatory compliance laws. ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIREDExperience in authoring Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs) is required and experience in the following chemical regulations is a plus: OSHA and TSCA (US), CLP / REACH, DSD / DPD (EU), WHMIS (Canada), and GHS (general). Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work in a team, attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, and the ability to learn new concepts quickly.Basic computer and word processing skills including Microsoft Office are required. NONESSENTIAL SKILLSExperience with MSDS authoring software applications (e.g. ProSteward, The WERCS, Intelligent Authoring, MSDGen, SAP EHS). Understanding of other hazard communication and regulatory compliance work processes including chemical inventory, industrial hygiene, and right-to-know.Experience in process manufacturing and/or oil and gas industries. Experience working in a consultative capacity.HARDWARE/SOFTWARE PACKAGESMicrosoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word and ExcelEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBS minimum in physical or biological sciences (chemistry, environmental sciences, toxicology, industrial hygiene etc).
