The perfect candidate has recent experience as press brake operator fabricating marine furniture. JOB SUMMARY Responsible for fabricating marine furniture and equipment using a hydraulic press brake, shear and punch. Qualified candidate will have the ability to create/work from drawings or hand sketches to create furniture from thin gauge aluminum, stainless and steel metal sheets. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Select appropriate type of sheet metal, such as galvanized iron, copper, steel, stainless steel or aluminum• Measure appropriate sizes of sheet metal.• Cut sheet metal by hand, hydraulic shear or power shears.• Cut and bend sheet metal into various shapes using appropriate dies and forms• Create hand sketches to formulate cut sheets and custom dimensions• Punch holes, slots, and louvers in metal sheets to produce final products. .• Drill holes into ducts to bolt together.• Weld, solder, or rivet parts together.• Work with fiberglass, plastics, and other nonmetallic materials.• Operate fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls to cut bend, block and form or straighten materials.• Install fabricated assemblies onto supportive framework.• Use scribers, dividers, and squares to mark dimensions on materials.• Operate computer aided drafting (CAD) software to develop scale drawings of products or systems. THIS IS A PLUS BUT NOT ABSOLUTE REQUIREMENT.• Inspect assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications.• Coordinate schedules.• Analyze and resolve work problems.
