Sr. Test Engineer Position Description At CGI we have an approach to development and maintenance that extends beyond technology and cost reduction. The technical team supporting the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is working to maximize the value and effectiveness of mission critical applications. In this role you listen to and translate customer needs into high level specifications. You would also be responsible for design and development of recommended systems and consult with leadership to ensure their smooth implementation. We are the team accountable for running the operation and development of applications that support case management procedures, credential applications, biometric identification and credential management. We make and maintain tools that improve the efficiency of TSA’s analytics solutions. Your future duties and responsibilities – Participates in the project initiation, requirements definition, and design efforts to develop test scripts, test cases, and the overall test plan. – Participates in maintaining test data to support regression testing – Coordinates execution of test scripts and documentation of test results in test logs or defect tracking systems. – Develops test designs and documentation support all applicable client, agency or industry standards, time lines and budgets. – Develops test data to be used in performing the required tests. – Ensures testing conclusions and recommendations are fully supported by test results, and project managers are fully informed or testing status and application deviations from documented user requirements. – Assists in the analysis of test results, documents conclusions and makes recommendations as supported by such analysis.
